And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (ESV)
In the 1995 Oscar-winning thriller, The Usual Suspects, villain Roger “Verbal” Kint (Kevin Spacey) says: “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”
I disagree.
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he is a scary, pitch-fork wielding, gravely-voiced monster. Creepy, discordant violin music harbingers his coming. When he finally makes his appearance, the sky is thick with dark roiling clouds and he openly announces his intention to make humanity suffer. Insert evil maniacal laughter here.
Nothing is farther from the truth.
When Adolph Hitler rose to power, he did so as the savior of the German people, not as a destroyer of mankind. So have all revolutionaries portrayed themselves as men “of the people”. The list is long: Jim Jones and The People’s Temple, Che Guevara and the Castro regime, the French Revolution, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Mao’s Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution – all of these committed unspeakable acts of cruelty on the very people they came to “serve”.
Words of Revolution
2020 is no different. The revolutionaries even use the same language as their predecessors: racism, classism, justice, equality, compassion, love, respect, and diversity. Words that sound good – even biblical – yet mean the opposite. These words deceive people – many of them well-intentioned – into believing that they are on the “right side of history” (as they call it) and the right side of Scripture.
Nothing is farther from the truth.
Diversity does not mean diversity, it means non-white and non-male. Tides (The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport), the gold standard by which all sports are judged for their inclusion, grades on only two factors: race and gender.
Using this scale, racial diversity is defined simply as “non-white” and gender diversity is defined simply as “non-male”. According to the 2010 United States Census, black Americans make up 12.1% of the total population. But in the grading scale, if your organization “looked like America” you would receive a D+ for racial diversity.
The NBA recently received an A+ for racial diversity, despite being 80% black and having only a handful of Asian and Latino players and no Native American athletes. According to The Undefeated, there were only 43 white American-born players in the 2015-2016 NBA season, with seven teams not having a single one.
THAT is diversity in the Progressive revolution.
Orwellian Vocabulary
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means
Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
The rest of the words in the tableau carry similar Orwellian problems.
Racism now means prejudice plus power, so only whites can be racist – which, ironically, is racist. Social Justice replaces actual justice and differs from actual justice in that actual justice is blind whereas Social Justice favors groups perceived as less powerful in society.
God loves and defends those with the least economic and social power, and so should we. That is what it means to “do justice.”
Keller, Timothy. Generous Justice (p. 2). Penguin Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.
“Your truth” and “my truth” replace truth itself, leading to the idea that truth is not fixed. “Conversations” are actually lectures – one-sided affairs devoid of any Conservative representation.
Those who claim to “love” others slander their opposition with hateful labels: sexist, Islamophobic, xenophobic, homophobic, intolerant, racist, misogynistic, and bigoted. If you don’t hold the “right” positions, they label you as a white nationalist or white supremacist or fascist.
Revolution Suppresses Opposing Viewpoints
The militant American terrorist organization, Antifa, violently suppresses opposing points of view in the name of “anti-Fascism”. Hateful labels such as racist and fascist are important to revolution because they stifle debate. As Jonah Goldberg writes:
Indeed, the left wields the term [fascist] like a cudgel to beat opponents from the public square like seditious pamphleteers. After all, no one has to take a fascist seriously. You’re under no obligation to listen to a fascist’s arguments or concern yourself with his feelings or rights. It’s why Al Gore and many other environmentalists are so quick to compare global-warming skeptics to Holocaust deniers. Once such an association takes hold, there’s no reason to give such people the time of day.
Goldberg, Jonah. Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning . The Crown Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.
And this is the hallmark of the revolution that is taking place in 2020 America. Revolution cannot take place where there is true diversity of thought. A revolution cannot exist in the same space as liberty.
That’s what is at stake in 2020.
Reformation: the Harbinger of Revolution
Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and chance the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution.
Alinsky, Saul. Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals . Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.
Reformation changes how people think. It prepares them for the total overthrow of the system. Our current system – Western Civilization – is based on the Judeo-Christian value system. There is a trinity of values distinct to America: y Pluribus Unum (out of many, one), “In God We Trust”, and the liberty of the individual.
The Progressive Reformation, which has been in the works since the 1960s, teaches that we are not one, but rather are many. Classrooms teach that slavery, not Judeo-Christian values, is America’s true foundation. Finally, they replace the ideal of individual liberty with the ideal of multi-culturalism – that race, gender, and class define us rather than character.
These slanders are the impetus for change. They purge the 10 Commandments from the walls of public buildings. Rioters loot and burn and demand we defund the police. They tear down statues because the historical figure owned slaves. Protestors remove or kneel in unified dissent against American flags, anthems, mottos, and symbols of the American trinity.
Progressives even call notions like being on time and civil in discourse as tools of the white privileged oppressor.
The Road to Chaos
All of this is a coordinated effort to undermine Americans’ confidence in our system and pave the way for a new system. This happened in Europe before us.
At the same time the only culture that couldn’t be celebrated was the culture that had allowed all these other cultures to be celebrated in the first place. In order to become multicultural, countries found that they had to do themselves down, particularly focusing on their negatives. Thus the states that had been so open and liberal that they had allowed and encouraged large-scale migration were portrayed as countries which were uniquely racist.
And while any and all other cultures in the world could be celebrated within Europe, to celebrate even the good things about Europe within Europe became suspect. The multicultural era was one of European self-abnegation where the host society appeared to stand back from itself and hoped that it would not be noticed other than as some form of benign convener. It was for this reason, among others, that the celebrated American political philosopher, Samuel Huntington, wrote in his last book, ‘Multiculturalism is in its essence anti-European civilisation. It is basically an anti-Western ideology’.
Murray, Douglas. The Strange Death of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam . Bloomsbury Publishing. Kindle Edition.
But what happens when civil discourse, rule of law, and biblical values are stripped from the populace? You get chaos. And chaos is the catalyst of revolution.
Chaos: the Catalyst of Revolution
Everything you are seeing today in the news tears down order and produces chaos. The COVID-19 pandemic, the George Floyd riots, the numerous attempts to overturn the 2016 election results, the banning of church gatherings, the shutting down of the economy, attempts to reduce the voting age to 16, the Black Lives Matter movement, releasing prisoners, granting prisoners the right to vote, illegal immigration, the attempt to eliminate the Electoral College, the push to make Washington, D.C. the 51st state, “white privilege”, calls to “ban history“, tearing down historical monuments and statues, the 1619 Project, banning flags, kneeling for the National Anthem, the list goes on and on. An unseen hand guides these measures to overthrow the system.
All of this produces the chaos necessary for the revolution to succeed.
If the Revolution of 2020 Succeeds
If the revolution succeeds, the America you and I love will cease to exist. You will not have the freedom to simply turn off the news and delete your Facebook account because, as Black Lives Matter says, “silence is violence”. The revolution will seek total compliance, which necessarily demands the elimination of opposing views.
This is the end of democracy. I believe there will be three outcomes if the Revolution of 2020 succeeds:
First, the elimination of free speech and free thought. It’s already happening in sports leagues like the NBA and NFL. Every player must kneel or risk ridicule. Every player must make a political message on their uniforms…but only the accepted political message. They immediately shout down any support for opposing political systems. And, worst of all, support for America and our flag generates blowback and forces an apology.
They will also go after the Electoral College, lower the voting age, make Washington D.C. a state, end voter ID requirements, and import as many illegal aliens into the system as possible. All of these actions secure Democratic votes and thus ensure permanent Democratic control.
Second, the elimination of the Second Amendment. No totalitarian regime can exist where individuals have the right to defend themselves. If the Democrats take control, they will move to take away people’s right to self-defense – all in the name of love and compassion. The end result, however, is a nation unable to defend itself from tyrany.
Third, they will persecute the true church. I’m talking about the church that believes in the literal Word of God, and does not subject God’s perfect Word to the perversions of man. There will be religion if the revolution wins, but it will be the type that has no major disagreements – at least, at first – with anything on the Left.
What You Can Do
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. but my kingdom is not from the world.”
John 18:36 (ESV)
As depressing as all of this sounds, it is important to maintain a true perspective. If you’re a Christian, then you must first recognize that our nation is in heaven not on earth. Do not be discouraged or place your hope in our earthly system of government.
But this does not mean you delete your social media accounts, turn off the news, and pretend like a revolution is not underway. Rather, it gives you the perspective to know that, in the end, God wins. That should keep depression at bay.
Second, you need to fight. Love your enemies and stand for justice, fight for truth, fight for a system that is based and founded on God’s Word. America has prospered, I believe, because of our commitment to God’s Word. We’re a nation full of seminaries, Bible translators, and missions organizations. Think about groups like the Institute For Creation Research (ICR) and Answers in Genesis – fighting for the truth of God’s Word.
So many of these organizations help people, provide biblical counseling, support missions and charities, etc. They will brand these groups as “hate groups”, such as they already have done to the Family Research Council.
Are these values, attitudes, beliefs, organizations, and people not worth fighting for? And, if you’re not a fighter, then be a supporter of those who do stand and fight. We can still ensure that the Revolution of 2020 is a failure.
