Hurt Me With The Truth
I wrote a little poem today that seems to me appropriate to the times we live in.
Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.
— C. S. Lewis
From Aristotle to Zeno, humanity has been philosophizing since the beginning. What is knowledge, and can we know Truth? Each of us must seek to understand the world around us as best we can, for what other purpose have we been given thought? Nothing separates human kind from the rest of the animal kingdom quite like conscious thought. There is a reason every other kind of intelligence that we’ve created so far is called “artificial” intelligence. As Christians we are required to think rationally and scientifically. Science, however, cannot answer the questions that philosophy wrestles with. In this section, we try to tackle those issues that Christians and non-Christians alike have so often written and debated since the dawn of time.
