Politics

“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”
― Plato

There are certain subjects that should be avoided in polite company, of which politics is quite often included. Few subjects can divide a room, a friendship, or even a family as quickly as politics. Quite often politics is hereditary, and it takes a strong influence to begin to see things in a different light. Here’s what we know: no party has a monopoly on Truth, and Truth can be known. Let’s cut through the BS of those who are elected and make sure we hold them accountable to do the things they say they will. Also, let’s quite allowing elected representatives to have a free pass on Truth and transparency. Lying should not be a right of passage for a politician.

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (ESV) In … Continued

Why Harvard University Is Targeting Homeschooling

What if I told you I was a racist, misogynistic, homophobic, patriarchal, science-denying, politically conservative Christian man? And what if I told you I plan to impart my dangerous, anachronistic worldview to all seven of my children? What if I … Continued

What King Solomon Would Say About The Coronavirus

by Garrett Mullet | posted in: Politics | 0

When it comes to coronavirus, I’m all for reasonable measures to be safe – particularly when it comes to protecting the more vulnerable elderly, and those with underlying health conditions. For me personally, I’m all for not getting COVID-19 in … Continued

Quid Pro Quo or No: Why I Still Support President Trump

by Micah Hershberger | posted in: Politics | 0

In the run-up to the 2016 Republican primaries, I wrote an article explaining that I could not and would not support Donald Trump for president.  That was back when I had choices like Ted Cruz and Ben Carson.  But after … Continued

JD Hall’s public support for causes I care deeply about is so self-absorbedly off-putting and unnecessarily abrasive; it undermines them.
